Brian Stygar is responsible for establishing Eagle Ray’s technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development, aligned to our strategic direction and corporate growth objectives. In addition to leading the development of technology solutions integrated with our service capabilities to address client requirements, Brian steers Eagle Ray’s strategy for technology platform, partnerships, and external relationships.
Brian was Chief Technology Officer at Kore Federal, the information technology solutions provider acquired by Eagle Ray in 2013. He was recognized by Northern Virginia Technology Council as the Government Contractor CTO Innovator in 2012 for his critical contributions to achieving results for both his customer and his leadership within Kore Federal. The Innovator award recognized Brian for being an “industry pioneer” and for his successful efforts to design and implement cloud computing, enterprise mobility, advanced analytics and automated risk assessment solutions for Kore Federal’s border security, intelligence and defense customers.
Prior to Kore Federal, Brian gained significant experience providing leadership and expertise in project and program management, distributed internet architecture design, enterprise application integration, and large system development and deployment. Brian was co-founder, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Ventera Corporation, a D.C. metro area IT solutions company that has served many large private sector companies including Citibank, Nextel, and Cable & Wireless. Over a four-year period, Brian built and managed a consulting team of more than 75 systems engineers, software engineers and project managers, developed a RUP-based system development methodology, and helped grow the firm to over $9 million in annual revenue.
Brian began his career as a consultant with Cap Gemini America and Coopers & Lybrand (now IBM/Price Waterhouse Coopers), providing systems integration services to the Department of Defense, quasi-Government agencies and non-profit associations.
Brian is a GAO Certified CIO, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster, RUP Certified Consultant, ITIL Foundations certified practitioner, and Microsoft Certified Professional. He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Technology from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University.
